Mool Shanti Pooja is a traditional Hindu ritual performed to pacify the malefic effects of a person’s Mool Nakshatra (birth star). There are 27 Nakshatras (lunar constellations) in Vedic astrology, and 6 of them—Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyeshtha, Moola, and Revati—are considered Mool Nakshatras.
